Are we just like other animals or are we different?
A while ago, a podcaster and blogger, Brett Hall, I follow on X was talking about how many people believe that we humans are no different from any other animal.
Mr. Hall stated that believing so was very wrong. He says, and I agree, that though some animals have actions similar to humans, no animal has created a civilization like ours. No animal has created machines and systems like we have.
I agree with Mr. Hall's statements and after reading them another thought came to me. In the beginning, per Holy Scripture, we were created in the image of our Creator.
In my opinion, that means we are much like our Creator, not equal or the same but, at minimum, similar. This statement gives reason to our human ability to improve our environment and learn from it.
It does not imply that we are infallible in our improvements or learning. Plus, though we are similar to all life on our planet, we are much different as well.
